Chandail’s Turkey Trot Event
Ladies, get your basters out! Here’s your chance to get your creative juices flowing. We are offering Raymond Crawford’s whimsical “Larry the Turkey” at a 10% discount for this fun event. Stitch Larry any way you like, use your stash and imagination! Bring your completed piece to our very own turkey trot during Raymond’s annual visit to Chandail in October. Lots of fun and all who participate win a prize. Canvas will be available for pick up in approximately six weeks.

Emily’s Vintage French Ribbons
Tony and I discussed a design concept based upon several of my vintage French ribbons that I have collected and use for embellishing pillows here at the shop. I find them to be so intricate and beautiful that I thought that Tony Minieri would be the perfect person to design a piece based off of these amazing patterns. He will design this piece on congress cloth and will offer it in a variety of color ways. He is sure to develop some amazing patterns and techniques on this upcoming project. All materials will be provided

First, you purchase a canvas of you hearts desire (we can help guide you with this) from Chandail. We will send your canvas to Tony for him to create a custom stitch guide just for you. He may even develop a new stitch for your canvas!

Back to Basics Class the Right Way… Bad Habits Broken Here - only 1 opening
Have you ever sat in a class and hear a direction given by a teacher and wonder, “What is he/she talking about?” or been corrected for not executing a technique properly because you never learned it properly? Well, most stitchers were never taken by the hand from Day One and taught all of the proper “do’s” and “don’ts” about stitching. This class was designed to fill the holes in your technique and get you stitching to the best of your ability. It was originally designed for beginning stitchers but all levels of stitchers can benefit from this class. It does begin right at the very beginning, a very good way to start. What constitutes a good kit of tools, how to read the warp and weft of the canvas when there is no selvage, beginning and ending threads, a needle study, an in depth study of Basketweave, tracking patterns, compensation, setting up trellises and couching patterns, and different types of appliqué are a few of the subjects we will investigate.
